How Do ThreadLifts Work?

Silhouette InstaLifts use sutures with bio directional cones made primarily of PLLA (polylactic acid) a sugar-based acid. Over time the sutures will naturally be absorbed by your body while stimulating the production of collagen.

PDO Threads (or Polydioxanone threads) are a synthetic material (thinner than a single strand of hair) that has long been used in biomedical procedures such as open-heart surgery and absorbable skin sutures. They are made of protein that your body can easily break down and absorb in just four to six months, therefore not creating any scar tissue.

Each thread treatment is specifically chosen for your individual needs and baseline. One thread option may be chosen based on the region being treated or the amount of lift required for each case. We may also use both threads at one time.
